Alto saxophonist Martin Speake and guitarist Mike Outram have collaborated for 25 years on many projects of Martin’s including the music of Charlie Parker, a quartet featuring Martin’s diverse and original highly melodic compositions and Charukesi his Indian/Arab music inspired groove band. This is the first time they will have played in the intimate duo setting. They will perform varied original compositions by Martin and arrangements reflecting many diverse influences including Charlie Parker, Hildegard Von Bingen, Paul Motian, Ornette Coleman, The American Songbook, Indian music from Ramamani and Karnataka College of Percussion, Rabih Abou Khalil, Keith Jarrett and many others.

LUKE WRIGHT – performance poet extraordinaire brings his touring show  to Two Sisters

 “I believed that Fukayama line: the end of history. But History didn’t end, did it?”

Logan Dankworth, columnist and Twitter warrior, grew up romanticising the political turmoil of the 1980s. Now, as the EU Referendum looms he is determined to be in the fray of the biggest political battle for years. Meanwhile, Logan’s wife Megan wants to leave London to better raise their daughter. As tensions rise at home and across the nation, something is set to be lost forever.

The evening’s entertainment also includes an opening set of Luke’s poems in the first half.
