16-year-old jazz pianist Oscar Lyons makes his debut at the Two Sisters Arts Centre with his quartet.
Oscar lives in Suffolk, and began playing the piano at the age of 5. He was a member of the Aldeburgh Young Musicians programme, based at Snape Maltings. Oscar is a two-time National Youth Jazz Collective alumnus, and is currently a member of the Royal Academy of Music’s Junior Jazz programme.
Joined by three exceptional young musicians – George Mooney (tenor sax), Tom Sheen (double bass), and Jess Rollason (drums) – they will play a mixture of Oscar’s original compositions, interspersed with both contemporary and classic jazz tunes.
