Ready for a unique and talented take on a wide range of musical traditions? Claude Bourbon is known throughout Europe and America for amazing guitar performances that take blues, Spanish, and classical stylings into uncharted territories.

Claude’s inimitable style incorporates all five digits on each hand dancing independently but in unison, plucking, picking and strumming at such speed and precision that his fingers often seem to melt into a blur. Thousands of people in the UK, Europe and USA have enjoyed listening to this virtuoso and for the majority of his audience it is an experience that compels them to return again and again to hear and watch him play, as his fingers lightly dance over the strings of his guitar and create a unique sound that is ’Claude’.

1970’s SONGBOOK
A cherry-picked selection of the more subtle, refined and surprising examples of the songwriter’s art from a much misunderstood musical decade.
Songs by Joni Mitchell, Kate Bush, Jeff Lynne, Al Green, Labi Siffre, 10cc, Alan Hull, Janis Ian, Stevie Wonder and many more.
Featuring Joanna Eden (vocals/piano), recently filmed memorably duetting with pop superstar Sam
Smith at the Royal Albert Hall Proms, and Chris Ingham (piano/guitar/vocals).

The Semibreves – three singers and a pianist, are a group of friends, who share a love of music and singing and have sung in a variety of concerts, shows and even pantomimes. They sing a wide range of music; songs from the shows, some pop, a splash of folk music and some light opera. The performers for the concert are:

Andrew Burke
A lifelong resident of Ipswich, Andrew studied at the Royal Academy of Music as a composer and pianist.

Louise Cockerill
Louise is the instigator and organiser of the Semibreves. She has been singing for several years with a variety of groups, singing a range of solo and chorus work. Louise especially enjoys singing and performing with her friends from the Semibreves.

Mark Ellis
Mark provides the low notes. A keen bass/baritone, he has been singing in the Essex/Suffolk area for many years and has been fortunate to sing a wide range of repertoire in choirs in the region, from Renaissance to modern.
